- Domain Hosting – A website is a collection of linked files, these files are stored on a server. You rent server space to keep your website files and also host your business emails. This service is what is referred to as hosting.
You can have the two services offered by one company or use different companies for the services.
No one company is perfect for both services if there is they are very few.
It’s not advisable to put all your eggs in one basket.
If your domain is hosted and register by the same company it will be easier for an intruder to take over your domain and website.
This is why it’s highly recommended to separate the two services for security reasons.

In the future, if there is a need to change your host, all you need to do is to back up your files from the current host, copy the files to the new host and update your domain settings to point to the new host.
